Unlike other Private Practices, MD Health Physiotherapy prides itself with its pay structure. We don't do commission which is the most common remuneration system in all private practices. What we offer our employees ie. Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, and Administration staff is the security of hourly wages. So regardless of whether you are seeing clients or not, you are guaranteed a pay. If you were employed as a Physiotherapist to work 36 hours per week - and you only managed to see clients for 30 hours, you are still going to be paid the whole 36 hours.
As we do not do Commission-based pay - we also DO NOT require any of our Physios and Dietitians to knock on doors to generate customer traffic into the practice. We leave that up to our Marketing Manager to figure out how to get people through our doors. As Physios, Exercise Physiologists and Dietitians, you were trained to be exactly that - Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Dietitians. We leave the sales and marketing to those who were hired and trained to do sales and marketing. Your role in customer service is to be what you are trained to be and to provide excellent care to our members. We think there's nothing more humiliating and unprofessional than a bunch of health practitioners in one practice fighting over a client, cold calling and door knocking to get new patients through our doors. We value team work and professional care, and commission-based pay does not encourage that behaviour.
